At First Baptist Church Plainville, Illinois, we're always excited to welcome new visitors. We hope you'll join us for a service, and we want to make your visit as welcoming as possible. Here's what you can expect when you come to either our 9:00 a.m. Sunday School or 10:00 a.m. service.
Our church is located at 320 E Vining St. in Plainville, IL, and parking is located to the west of the church or in the gravel parking lot between Vining St. and E. Main St. If you have mobility restrictions or young children to carry, the parking lot to the west of the church offers a quicker and more mobility-friendly entrance.
Please don't worry about what you'll wear to church, for we truly believe people should come to God as they are. You don't need to dress up to get his approval--that comes through Jesus' sacrifice. Once you walk in the doors, you'll see that the congregation has all types of people in all kinds of dress.
When you walk in, one of our members will greet you and introduce themselves. They're usually milling about the cozy sanctuary, and they'll show you where everything is. They'll help you find the nursery if you have kids. Our members can also point you to the restrooms, sanctuary, and fellowship area. If you have any questions about the service itself, any member will be able to provide helpful answers or find someone who can.
If you would like to hang around after the service and join us for a chat, just approach one of our pastors; we would love to know how God is working in your life and how we can come alongside you on your journey. We'd also love to get to know you, so you're a familiar face the next time you come.
